Volunteering and Donations

We are always in need of additional volunteers to help us. Tasks to be done include: walking dogs, feeding cats, cleaning cat pans and cages, cleaning dog cages, medicating sick animals, doing laundry, general cleaning of the shelter, assisting with administrative tasks, working with the media, and helping out at fundraising events, among other things. Volunteers can sign up for an hour a week, a day a week, sporadic visits or whatever fits into the volunteer's schedule.

You can fill out an application for volunteer work and submit it electronically or come in and do it in person.

We welcome donations in honor of a special occasion or in memory of a loved one. All donations are used for the care and feeding of our animals. You can donate easily and securely online by clicking here. A special commemorative card will be sent to acknowledge the donation and it will be listed in our newsletter and on this website. Donations of equipment and other useful items are also welcomed. Please see our wish list for items currently needed.

Come Visit Us!

We are open on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00–3:00 p.m. and on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:00–6:00 p.m. If you can't make it at that time, call for an appointment.
