SPRING 2005

In 2004 we placed 134 cats, 34 kittens, 22 dogs, 4 rabbits, 4 ferrets, 3 rats, 2 birds, 2 guinea pigs, and 1 turtle — a total of 206 animals saved and placed in good homes.

Matilda Sabal

Matilda Sabal turned eleven years old. She had a birthday party and asked all her guests to donate to the animal shelter in place of presents for her. She is a very unselfish young lady, which is commendable. Matilda and her family adopted a cat from the shelter a couple of years ago. From the animals and all the volunteers we say thank you.

Aisling Fallon

Aisling Fallon is a conscientious thirteen year old young lady with a huge and generous heart. She baked cookies, cupcakes, and bought candy to sell at her school, the Marblehead Charter School. She was able to raise the unbelievable amount of $90. That money will help the animals, and they want to thank her for her thoughtfulness. All the volunteers want to thank her as well.

Kerry Breen

One Saturday afternoon this pretty little girl named Kerry Breen from Marblehead came into the shelter with a container filled with money. Her sister Danielle and their friends Becky and Katelyn Thompson collected the amount of $80 for the shelter because they love animals. Their unselfish generosity was overwhelming and the animals and volunteers thank them. Their donation will help pay for food for the animals.

Isabella Moore

An eight year old girl named Isabella Moore of Marblehead raised $15.23 selling lemonade all day on Sunday, April 17th at 50 cents a glass. She donated the money to the Marblehead Animal Shelter for the animals. That was so thoughtful and generous of her. A big thank you from the animals and volunteers!

Cohen Hillel third graders save the animals

Cohen Hillel Academy third graders created a project called “Save The Animals.” They came to the shelter to visit the animals and brought supplies and generously donated money they collected. From left to right, they are: Maya Shnider, Ashley Edelstein, Dylann Cooper, Emily Bornstein, and Eli Hammond. Founding member Jennie Bouche was not present.
